        Welcome to

     the Cuervo Lab!

We are a cell biology lab interested in how proteins are  targeted to lysosomes

for their degradation and why this  process is impaired during aging.

PhD and MD/PhD students are more than welcome to rotate in our lab!!!

    You will get:

bullet

Experience in techniques in cell-biology, molecular biology and biochemistry (organelle isolation,  confocal immunofluorescence, electron microscopy, tissue culture, PCR, DNA isolation and handling, point directed mutagenesis, northern blot, electrophoresis, chromatography, protein expression and purification.....

bullet

Background in intracellular protein trafficking, protein degradation, biology of aging, lysosomal storage diseases, neurodegenerative diseases....
