The Environmental Health and Safety Department is committed to providing and ensuring a safe and health promoting workplace for all members of the Albert Einstein community.

Our Mission

The Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) Department assists the College in providing safe and healthful work environments for all its employees, students, faculty, and visitors.  In addition, it assists in meeting the increasingly complex regulatory requirements put forward by different government agencies. 

Department Profile

Management of risks is the hallmark of EH&S activities. The organization of the department is divided up to cover the differing risk areas.  These subsections are Laboratory Safety, Radiation Safety, Fire Safety, YU Safety Specialist, and Industrial Hygiene.  These divisions are supervised by the Chief Safety Officer, Anthony Chibbaro.  To learn more about our office, please read the welcome message from Mr. Chibbaro.
