Faculty Development Fellowship Program
The Albert Einstein College of Medicine Hispanic Center of Excellence
sponsors two Faculty Development Fellows for two years to enroll in the
Clinical Research Training Program funded by the Hispanic Center of
Excellence. Their department will receive a supplement each year in
salary support to assure adequate time to complete the degree
requirements.
The Clinical Research Training Program of the Albert Einstein College of
Medicine of Yeshiva University is a two-year program consisting of a didactic curriculum and a mentored
experience leading to a Master of
Science Degree in Clinical Research Methods.

Medical Spanish Clinical Program
This program offers our medical students who have completed an
Intermediate Medical Spanish Clinical program Advanced Medical Spanish class, an opportunity to practice
some of their language skills with positive role models who speak Spanish
and whose patients are predominately Spanish speaking. Students will be
introduced to the diverse Hispanic community of the Bronx.
Mentorship Programs
The Hispanic Center of Excellence provides mentors to undergraduate and
medical students. These programs introduce students to multi-cultural
faculty members that will provide support in their journey into the
medical field.
Workshops
The Hispanic Center of Excellence has provided Grant Workshops in which
trained faculty members lectured on grant writing, NIH funding, and
research funding sources.
A faculty development CME workshop sponsored by the Hispanic Center of
Excellence has also been constructed to educate faculty members on
cultural competency issues.
