"The Senate shall be the organization through which the faculty and student body participate in the formulation of the policies of the College of Medicine. The Senate shall discuss all issues of importance to this school and may vote on recommendations to be made to the Dean." (From the ByLaws) The Senate meets monthly during the academic year. Refreshments are provided. All faculty and students are allowed and encouraged to attend and speak at the meeting, although only senators can vote.
