All Infectious Diseases consultations for adult inpatients should be ordered electronically on Carecast. Go to the "Orders" tab, use the "Enter/Review Inpatient Orders" pull-down menu, click the "Place Orders" button at the lower left, and then click the "Consults" button in the middle at the right. ID Consult is the last departmental consult choice.
