NIH ERA Commons Registration
Electronic submission of proposals to NIH via the
Grants.gov portal requires that the Principal Investigator (PI)
be registered with NIH eRA Commons. (Registration with Grants.gov is required for applicant institutions only, NOT individual investigators).
NOTE: PIs currently registered only for Internet
Assisted Review (IAR) must obtain a full eRA Commons registration
using the process described here.
Each applicant institution manages the individual accounts
for its investigators. AECOM faculty investigators
who plan to serve as PIs may open an NIH eRA Commons account by completing an authorization form (see below) and sending it to M. Santiago in the AECOM Department of Finance, 1102 Belfer, AECOM (fax 718 430-8747; email masantia@aecom.yu.edu).
MS Word and PDF versions of the authorization forms are
provided here. These forms may be printed, signed by
the PI, and faxed or mailed. Alternatively, the forms may be completed on screen, the file saved to one's hard drive, and then sent as an email attachment. Forms sent directly using a PI's AECOM or MMC email account do not require a signature. Please note that saving completed PDF documents requires the full Adobe Acrobat program; the free Adobe reader is not sufficient.
