Surgery Elective - MMC

The student will be
exposed to oral pathology, management of oral disease, maxillofacial surgery,
repair of traumatic injuries to the teeth and jaws and concepts of oral
health. This elective will include the operating room, ward rounds, and
emergency dental and maxillofacial treatment.
Students planning
careers in primary care, emergency medicine, plastic surgery, or otolaryngology
will find this elective invaluable.

First day students meet 3N34 - Jacobi Medical Center - 8:30 A.M.
A four-week experience
in examination and evaluation of patients with a wide variety of oral
complaints: including out-patient clinic, in-patient service, ward rounds,
operating room and emergency care. Appropriate for physicians planning
a career in primary care.
