Dr. Christopher Cimino holds a BA with Honors in Psychology from Brown University and an MD from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He trained in Neurology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine residency program and is Board Certified in Adult Neurology. He completed a three year fellowship in Medical Informatics at the Massachusetts General Hospital.

Since February of 1992, he has been the Director of the AECOM Office of Computer Based Education. He believes in a three pronged approach to using computers to improve the educational experience: computer programs for assisted instruction, computer programs as medical tools of the trade, and computer programs for administering and managing the educational process.

  • Balancing Security and Education on the Same Net" : Christopher Cimino - This presentation will look at the common problem of making educational software available on a network while maintaining a secure network. There will be an overview of the advantages of maintaining a secure network and examples of why educational software tends to conflict with that security. Several different methods that are used at AECOM will be examined with regard to how they work and for what situations each method is appropriate.
