Dr. Lazar is responsible for most of the non-academic aspects of life on the Albert Einstein College of Medicine campus, from orientation through academic convocations the graduation ceremony, and much more. His office deals not only with students, but with the entire Einstein community, and beyond. He is responsible for the Housing Complex on Eastchester Road (three 27 story buildings), and the Rhinelander Avenue Residence Hall, which houses many postdoctoral fellows. Student Health Service reports to Dr. Lazar, as does the Falk Recreation Center. His office handles all of the transportation for the medical school, including shuttle and taxi services. He is reponsible for the projectionist needs of faculty and departments, reserving of all public rooms at the institution, and it is his office that administers all National Board of Medical Examiners examinations. The Kinney Parking Garage is his responsibility.

Dr. Lazar oversees the annual yearbook, meets with the Student Council on a regularly scheduled basis, and his office supplements student activities by distributing free baseball tickets for the Yankees and Mets to all students and faculty. From purchasing an Apple computer to an Einstein sweatshirt, to Broadway theater parties, boat rides, bands, food, ... all student undertakings pass through his office.

Personally, Dr. Lazar works closely with the Development Office and the lay community in speaking to, on a formal and informal basis, large groups and individuals. He is an active member of the administration. His office is is involved with most of the enterprises that involve the campus community, and beyond. It is a good starting point to ask questions!
