Statistical
Consultation Facility to Medical Students in Department of Epidemiology
and Social Medicine
Medical
students in the Albert Einstein College of Medicine who are doing their
research projects with the help of clinical department faculty may seek
biostatistical consultation from the Division of Epidemiology and Biostatistics
in the department of Epidemiology and Social Medicine.
The
Biostatistical consultation service consist of the following:
- Statistical
consultation on research design, sample size calculation, power analysis
before the collection of data.
- Design
of data base and data entry, help in using data base/data entry r spreadsheet
program.
- Help
in choosing simple statistical packages (both IBM and Macintosh).
- Help
in choosing appropriate statistical methods in the statistical package.
- Help
in interpretation of the results after performing data analysis.
