Bronx CREED (Bronx Center to Reduce and Eliminate Ethnic and Racial Health Disparities) is part of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine's initiative in building academic-community partnerships through its Institute for Community and Collaborative Health and the Hispanic Center of Excellence and through its long-standing relationships with Herbert H. Lehman College of the City University of New York network, Health People, the community preventive health institute, the Clinical Directors Network and Albert Einstein College of Medicine's affiliated teaching hospitals, Montefiore Medical Center and Jacobi Medical Center.

CDC, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, is recognized as the lead federal agency for protecting the health and safety of people - at home and abroad, providing credible information to enhance health decisions, and promoting health through strong partnerships. CDC serves as the national focus for developing and applying disease prevention and control, environmental health, and health promotion and education activities designed to improve the health of the people of the United States.

Clinical Trials.gov provides regularly updated information about federally and privately supported clinical research in human volunteers. ClinicalTrials.gov gives you information about a trial's purpose, who may participate, locations, and phone numbers for more details.

Committee on Clinical Investigations (CCI) is the federally designated Institutional Review Board for all of the colleges of Yeshiva University, Jacobi Medical Center and North Central Bronx Hospital. As such, the CCI and its administrative staff, review all proposals for human subject  research and monitor such research in compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations.

HealthWeb, an annotated listing of health-related Internet sites, provides organized access to evaluated non-commercial, health-related, Internet-accessible resources. HealthWeb is a collaborative project of the health sciences libraries of the Greater Midwest Region (GMR) of the National Network of Libraries of Medicine (NN/LM) and those of the Committee for Institutional Cooperation.

MEDLINEplus from the National Library of Medicine has extensive information from the National Institutes of Health and other trusted sources on over 600 diseases and conditions. There are also lists of hospitals and physicians, a medical encyclopedia and a medical dictionary, health information in Spanish, extensive information on prescription and nonprescription drugs, health information from the media, and links to thousands of clinical trials. MEDLINEplus is updated daily.

Partners in Information Access for Public Health Professionals helps the public health workforce find and use information effectively to improve and protect the public's health.

PubMed, a service of the National Library of Medicine, includes over 14 million citations for biomedical articles back to the 1950's. These citations are from MEDLINE and additional life science journals. PubMed includes links to many sites providing full text articles and other related resources.
